Porsche has published new photos of the electric TaycanMarch 18, 2019
Porsche has published another series of photos of its first all-electric model, the Taycan. On them the sports car is presented with an already serial body, but in a camouflage film. Taycan premiere will be held in September this year.
Stefan Veckbach, who has led the development of the Taycan line since November 2014, says that the electric car fully meets the key characteristics of Porsche. It is about dynamics, emotions and quality, which is also expressed in the choice of finishing materials. But most of all, Porsche is characterized by the constant involvement of the driver in the driving process, and here the Taycan is no different, say, from the 911. Veckbach emphasizes that the process of adaptation when moving from one car to another takes only a few minutes.
Earlier, the same was said by the head of Porsche Oliver Blum. A top manager experienced a Taycan at the test site in the Swedish Arjeplog and believes that the engineers were able to select the optimal chassis settings and make the electric car look like a Porsche with a traditional propulsion system.
Porsche Taycan will be offered in two versions with batteries of different capacities, although before that there were three. The top version with a power unit with a capacity of 600 horsepower can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds, and up to 200 in 12 seconds. The company has already received about 20,000 pre-orders and is considering increasing the planned production volume.
