Porsche decided to celebrate the anniversary of its three iconic modelsMarch 26, 2020
Three models of the German brand – 918 Spyder Concept, 911 Turbo and 718 RS 60, celebrate their anniversaries this month.
March is often a special time of the year for Porsche and its countless fans around the world. Despite the fact that this year the Geneva Motor Show was canceled due to coronavirus, many companies that wanted to show their new products at this event have already presented their cars through online publications.
Porsche showed the 918 Spyder, which appeared 10 years ago. In addition, the 911 Turbo generation 993 was also shown, which debuted 25 years ago.
The birthdays of these two iconic production cars are in March, but the third car “celebrates” the anniversary.
The race car 718 RS 60 was shown 60 years ago, and its new version was able to win several victories this year.
A short but enjoyable video posted by the Porsche press office talks about some of the events that were timed to coincide with the anniversaries of the above machines.
A special photo session was created in the Porsche Museum with the “birthday people” 918, 718 RS 60. We do not have photos from Porsche from this special event, and given the current state of affairs around the world (coronavirus), we may not see them for a long time. At least we have this backstage video that suggests that the photos will definitely be worth the wait.
