Porsche celebrates 20th anniversary in China with 911 Turbo S Anniversary EditionApril 20, 2021
The German automaker has brought two high-profile car premieres to Shanghai – the Turbo S China 20th Anniversary Special Series and the 718 Spyder.
Until 2001, Porsche cars were not introduced in China. In 2021, the brand celebrates the 20th anniversary of its presence in this country. The Germans have released a special festive series of the most powerful 911 – the Porsche Turbo S.
The sports car performed by China 20th Anniversary will accelerate to a hundred in just 2.7 seconds. The specialists of the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur worked on this special series. The car body, decorated with stripes and the “anniversary” number, has received exclusive shades, and special nameplates are found not only outside, but also inside.
A special sports car can be painted in one of five classic colors, including the signature green Mint Green, juicy red Star Ruby Red and others. The photo shows the sports car in Oslo Blue. The new special version for China differs from the usual 640-horsepower Porsche Turbo S only externally. This model already demonstrates impressive dynamic performance.
This special 911 isn’t the brand’s only gift to its customers in China. 718 Spyder was brought to Shanghai.
It returns to the Chinese car market with the Sport Chrono Package, 14-way electric seats as standard, and a two-tone retractable roof in red and black. This is the first time a model gets such a new thing. The car is driven by a 295-horsepower two-liter turbo engine, working in conjunction with a seven-speed Porsche PDK gearbox.
Earlier, AutoTimesNews talked about a special edition of the Polestar 1 hybrid sedan. The circulation of the new item will be limited to only 25 copies, and it is intended for the brand’s customers in China.
