Porsche Cayenne GTS got a sports editionAugust 15, 2020
Porsche has shown an optional exhaust system for the Cayenne GTS Coupe, which has been in development for 4 years.
Jörg Winkel, the former head of the acoustics department of the German corporation, worked on the new exhaust tract: he left Porsche the year before last. It took 4 years to create the new sports exhaust, and specialists were able to give the V-8 a unique sound.
The engineers managed to do this using a special design. Winckel, in particular, proposed separating the exhaust ducts from the left and right bank of cylinders. After all the manipulations of the specialists of the German automaker, the sound became quieter, while at the same time saturation at low frequencies remained.
Recall that the Cayenne GTS Coupe crossover is equipped with a 460-horsepower “biturbo-eight” volume of 4.0 liters, an 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission and an original decor. The cross can accelerate to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds.
In addition, it was recently noted that the Porsche Panamera set a speed record for the Nürburgring race track. It should be said that the most productive version of the German sports model took part in the record race.
