Porsche Cayenne for the first time got a four-cylinder engineFebruary 27, 2019
Despite the fact that Porsche is a brand with a rich history, as well as its own image, not only in the style, but also in the technical part, he decided to bend over to market conditions.
For the first time a full-size SUV Porsche Cayenne will be sold with a four-cylinder, almost 2.0-liter engine. The engine will be paired with an electric motor, and the model itself will be known as the E-Hybrid. Earlier, under this name was offered the only version of the crossover with a 3.0-liter engine V6 with an electric motor and a total capacity of up to 462 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.
However, the Chinese market can dictate its own conditions, and the company decided to go on about local tax rules, and presented a model with an almost two-liter (1984 dice) engine operating as part of a hybrid installation. The total power will be 386 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque.
The hybrid itself is similar to the international version and is an electric motor installed between the engine and gearbox. The battery will be located in the trunk and will provide up to 50 km of full charge and speed up to 140 km / h.
In the meantime, the next generation Porsche Macan will be completely electric. The market debut of the first Porsche electric crossover is scheduled for early next decade.
