The first electric car Porsche will appear in 2019 and will be called Taycan. The production car will be available in at least three versions

The serial version of the electric car Porsche Mission E will be called Taycan. This is stated in a message on the company’s Facebook page. The first electric car Porsche will appear in 2019. According to preliminary data, prices for the novelty will start from 80 thousand dollars. The assembly of the machine will be adjusted at the plant in Stuttgart.

The serial car will be available in at least three versions. The base, medium and top versions will be available with 402, 536 and 670-hp engines, respectively. The front engine in any case will develop 215 hp, while the rear output depending on the version will be 322, or 429 horsepower. The units will work together with a two-stage transmission. In addition, the car will receive an electronic differential lock on the rear axle.

The most powerful modification of the electric car can accelerate from a place to 100 km / h in less than three seconds, and its maximum speed will be limited by electronics at around 250 km per hour. The stock of batteries is enough for about 500 km of run. Replenish the stock of batteries by 80% can be in as little as 20 minutes.

Judging by the numerous spy photos, the design of the car will not practically differ from the concept car of the same name, presented in 2015 in Frankfurt. The main difference will be the standard rear doors, which will replace the rear doors of the concept car, opened against the direction of motion. Also, the car, such as the electric car Jaguar I-Pace, will have a small second trunk under the hood.

The concept car Porsche Mission E was introduced in 2016 at the Paris Motor Show. The prototype was completed with two electric motors mounted on the front and rear axles. In total, the units develop more than 600 horsepower, so the electric car accelerates from place to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds. The maximum mileage without recharging the batteries was about 500 kilometers (according to the European cycle NEDC). The stock of batteries can be replenished by 80% in about half an hour using a quick recharging system.
