Porsche are actively testing the electric Taycan Cross TurismoApril 2, 2019
The serial production of the electric wagon Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo starts “at the beginning of the next decade”, and the official presentation of the serial version of the new product will take place next year. Taycan wagon is likely to be more expensive performance sedan.
Porsche is a brand mainly known for its amazing 2-door sports models. In recent months, he has expanded his lineup with three new crossovers, a sedan and even a station wagon. Later this year, another sedan will also be adopted in the family, which will eventually be joined by another wagon.
These two newbies will be very different from the usual models of the German automaker, such as the 911, Boxster / Cayman and Panamera, since the two versions of the Taycan model will receive a fully electric propulsion system.
The Taycan Sedan, which will be presented this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show (Germany), is already in the final stages of testing. A more practical Taycan Cross Turismo is still a rarity on the Internet. Prototypes of the station wagon were recently spotted at the legendary Nürburgring race track.
German novelty with a raised suspension and a long roof has a pair of exhaust pipes (for beauty), as well as a decent amount of camouflage, although at first glance it may seem that the car is “open”.
Taycan Cross Turismo can boast with two electric motors, as Taycan in the sedan – in total, their power will be equal to just over 600 horsepower. Power reserve will be 500 km. It will take the sedan three and a half seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, but the wagon may be a little slower due to its higher weight.
