Porsche 914 restomod based on Porsche Cayman S announcedJanuary 14, 2021
The Porsche will be assembled by the British company Fifteen Eleven Design.
The British company Fifteen Eleven Design has announced the Porsche 914 restomod, which will be built on the basis of the modern Porsche Cayman S sports car. Note that this is not the first car of this kind that will come off the company’s stocks – previously such cars as the Ford Escort Speedster Mk1 and completely remanufactured Maserati 3500 GT.
However, both of the above cars were assembled in a single copy, but the new Porsche 914 will have a small circulation. It is noted that cars with both right and left steering wheels will be available for order. The project is currently under development, but the first renders of future sports cars are already there.
According to preliminary data, the restomod will be driven by a 3.4-liter engine with a capacity of about 300 hp. The suspension and braking system will also be taken from the current Porsche accessories catalog. Of course, the novelty will be equipped exclusively with rear-wheel drive and a manual transmission.
In addition to all of the above, the Porsche 914 will receive an active wing, 18-inch Fuchs wheels, a Targa roof, headlights in the style of the racing Porsche 935 Moby Dick and enlarged air intakes for better cooling of the units. The cost of such a car has not yet been disclosed.
