Porsche 911 Turbo S will be lighter and sportierMarch 28, 2020
Porsche for the 911 Turbo S 2 new optional kits under the name Lightweight and Sport, thanks to which the coupe will lose weight and add sportiness.
Following the debut of the most productive 911 generation 992, information began to spread that the 911 Turbo S would be lighter and sportier in the near future.
Now this information has been confirmed by Frank Wiseman, spokesman for the Porsche 911 lineup in America: for the iconic sports car, several new optional kits called Lightweight Package and Sport Package were created. The first will reduce the weight of the car by 30 kg due to the bucket-shaped sports seats, and the fact that there are no rear seats.
The kit also consists of a lightweight windshield, sports exhaust system and PASM Sport suspension – at the same time, these sensors can be purchased separately from the Lightweight kit.
The lighter 911 Turbo S will line up between a simple car and the 911 GT3. The second set is dedicated to design: a car with a Sport Package is equipped with other lights, wheels and blackened decorative details. Unlike the Lightweight kit, the sports kit will also be offered for a modification that has a soft roof, but a coupe with the same kit will have a carbon fiber roof.
