Porsche 911 GT3 will debut in January 2021September 25, 2020
At the annual charity gala organized by the Petersen Automotive Museum, it was announced when the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 will be arriving.
In anticipation of the highly anticipated presentation, Porsche has already started testing the 992 generation GT3 at the Nurburgring. Based on the launch dates for “regular” Porsches, we can conclude that the next GT3 is coming soon. And now, at a charity auction at the Petersen Automotive Museum, partner Bring A Trailer (BaT) has finally announced when the new Porsche GT model will arrive. Although the name “GT3” is not mentioned, the description of the BaT car speaks for itself.
“This vehicle is the result of years of testing and the work of Porsche engineers in Weissach to take the vehicle off the track and onto the streets. A teaser photo of the upcoming model is shown above, ”says BaT and adds that a new variant of the Porsche GT will be presented at the end of January 2021.
The only teaser shows the car under a tarp, making it difficult to see the model. Given the lack of a massive rear wing, this is speculated to be a GT3 Touring, which should use a smaller retractable electric spoiler. Prior to this, Porsche had hinted at the 992 GT3 when it first showed it in the background of its commercial, and it had a much more massive spoiler.
The 992 GT3 is expected to be powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine with around 503 horsepower. Most buyers will undoubtedly opt for the PDK dual-clutch transmission, but a direct-drive manual transmission will also be available.
