Photospies managed to shoot a new Ford Explorer for the police. The pictures were posted by the Motor1 edition. The novelty will be called Ford Police Interceptor and will be presented in the first quarter of next year.

The car will receive flashing beacons on the front end and additional body protection. From the current version of the Ford Explorer SUV is different new optics and a modified grille. A modernized brake system and a special blind spot monitoring system are also expected.

The engine range will include the same 2.3-liter “turbo four” EcoBoost, which on the current model develops 284 power. The current 3.5-liter aspirated V6, issuing 294 liters. with., replace the new, more powerful unit with a displacement of 3.3 liters.
