Polestar showed electric concept for Roborace ChampionshipDecember 30, 2019
Polestar is going to strengthen its position in the electric car segment. For this, she prepared a special concept that can show her strength in the Roborace racing series.
Polestar, with experience from Volvo and Geely, has every chance of establishing itself as a key player in the electric car segment. The flagship of the young brand today is the Polestar 1 hybrid, but its second model, the Polestar 2 EV, seriously competes with the Tesla Model 3. Now, the foreign edition carscoops.com has published renders of the curious Polestar 1K electric concept for the future Roborace championship.
The designer Fabiano Brice worked on the creation of the car. He supplied the concept car with an extremely radical body, but the Polestar’s family features are still guessed. So, for example, the Polestar 1K is equipped with LED headlights with daytime running lights, the design of which is similar to the “hammer of Thor” in the spirit of the Polestar and Volvo models.
The concept was developed specifically for the Roborace Championship, so it does not have a cab. Inside the car, you can find a special glass zone where the developers applied separate electrical systems to the car. At the back of the Polestar 1K, a massive diffuser and LED lights of the original form appear.
Recall, last year, the organizers of Roborace changed the concept of the championship. According to the new rules, the first half of the race will be driven by a rider, the second by autopilot.
