Polestar CEO is announcing something new and pretty cool. Thomas Ingenlath has hinted on social media about the mysterious prototype of the new Polestar 2 electric sedan.

Polestar 2 not only appeared in showrooms – at the end of February, owners received the first wireless updates. The all-electric brand announced last week that the “Tesla Model 3 rival” will receive a new Harmon Kardon speaker system. And, apparently, another announcement is not far off. Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath revealed on Instagram what appears to be a “hotter” version of Polestar 2.

The photos show a prototype electric sedan with large 21-inch four-spoke wheels, which appear to be borrowed directly from the Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid coupe, as such wheels are currently not available for the Polestar 2. The vehicle’s ground clearance has also dropped by more than by 2.5 cm.

The existing Polestar 2 model already has 408 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque, and the acceleration time to 100 km / h is just 4.1 seconds. The company has already confirmed that it is preparing a production version of the Precept concept. Like the Polestar 2, it will be a fully battery-electric model, but high-performance versions of all Polestar models would be a great addition to the lineup.
