Polestar is preparing to debut the mysterious Precept prototypeFebruary 20, 2020
The Volvo sub-brand under the name Polestar will show at the Geneva Motor Show the conceptual model of Precept, which, apart from the name, is not yet known. Some assumptions allow us to make the debut image of the show, circulated by the Polestar press center.
The novelty will acquire fully LED optics, moreover, the headlights will be designed in the style of the brand, and the taillights are connected using a luminous strip.
On the teaser, the car was pictured from above so that it is impossible to identify the type of body. According to some experts, this will be a crossover that will be built on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform. This architecture underlies other Polestar models, as well as Volvo, Lynk & Co and Geely.
There is no official information on the engines, however, according to Autocar, Precept will be equipped with a fully electric power unit with two electric motors with a total capacity of 400 hp, which will be powered by a 78 kW / h battery.
Earlier, the same 2-engine installation got an electric fastback Polestar 2, the presentation of which took place in 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Polestar 2 can travel on a single recharge of 480 km, and its main competitor is the Tesla Model 3. Until the first “hundred” model accelerates in less than 5 seconds.
