Polestar confirmed online sports sedan display 2February 5, 2019
February 27, the Swedish automaker Polestar will present its second electric model at an online event, and then present a novelty at the Geneva Motor Show (March 2019).
At the time, the autonomous brand Volvo, previously owned by the Swedish automotive giant Polestar, is showing off its first all-electric model in the last few months. This electric car can drive a fully charged “battery” distance of 500 km, and the total engine power is 400 hp.
Recent reports from insiders suggest that the new Polestar 2 will be a coupe-like sedan with a size similar to the size of the Tesla Model 3, which makes it the first true competitor to the high-performance American electric car.
It is reported that the design of the new items will be inspired by the concept of the Volvo 40.2, which used a high-rise sedan.
In addition, Polestar 2 will be the world’s first serial model equipped with the Google Android HMI (Human Machine Interface) infotainment system, which will be bundled with Google Assistant, wireless updates, and popular Google services, such as Maps and an app store.
“The presentation of our second model will take place online to eliminate the impact of flying guests around the world on the environment, thereby supporting one of the advantages of electromobility,” the official said in a Swedish company.
Polestar is expected to offer customers two options for purchasing their models: either buying them directly, or using them through a paid subscription, when buyers pay a monthly fixed fee to cover the cost of the car, as well as its maintenance and insurance.
