Poland is going to start production of its own electric carsNovember 11, 2020
Writes about it Reuters.
Today it became known that the Polish company ElectroMobility Poland is going to launch its own electric models in the body of a crossover and hatchback. A couple of years ago, PZL Sedziszow began producing batteries, and the state allocated 1.3 billion euros for the development and research of electric transport.
Interestingly, there is another plus in the production of its own electric cars – this is how Poland plans to attract the production of electric vehicles from other companies in the country. The country’s leadership hopes that high-quality electric cars of its own production, as well as no less high-quality components, will literally force foreign companies to build their factories in Poland.
One way or another, even if all plans of the state collapse, such a step will help the country to attract investment and innovation. ElectroMobility Poland is reportedly already in talks to buy the MEB platform from Volkswagen, as well as Toyota and Hyundai.
