Planned to revive the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution as a crossoverAugust 29, 2019
For quite some time, rumors about the revival of the legendary model of the Japanese company Mitsubishi in the near future have not abated on the Internet. However, if previously only assumptions were reported on the engine and platform, now they say that the car will become a crossover.
Japanese media Best Car claims that soon the car will be built according to the e-Evolution concept introduced in 2017. Recall that the concept received three electric motors: two on the rear axle, and one on the front.
Speaking about the external design, the Evolution model should retain the characteristic features of its legendary predecessor, but combine them with the typical dimensions, as well as the crossover style from the Japanese company.
In fact, we can only guess what will be under the hood of the new Lancer. Official information has not yet been provided, but most likely the technical part of the car will be the same as that of the concept that was introduced in Japan 2 years ago.
It is believed that the new model will debut in December 2020, that is, more than a year later.
It has also recently become known that the updated Mitsubishi Pajero has received a budget version. Thanks to the reduction of many options, the legendary SUV has become much cheaper.
