The manufacturer of tires Pirelli has recreated the logo by means of racing cars of class GT3 on an autodrome of Monza in Italy – the total capacity of sports cars has made 22 thousand horsepowers. Thus, the company repeated a similar event of 40 years ago, when road cars were lined up in the form of the letter “P”.
In the creation of the logo length of 80 and a width of 18 meters, 41 cars of 12 different manufacturers participated in the championship of the Blancpain GT Series. Among them: Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lexus, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Nissan, Porsche and Jaguar.
Sports cars lined up on the main straight track, where pilots often develop a maximum speed of 280 kilometers per hour. The choice of machines Blancpain GT Series is also not accidental: the cup represents the largest number of automakers and they all use Pirelli tires.
Previously, Pirelli presented tires Stelvio Corsa, designed for the most expensive classic sports car in the world – the Ferrari 250 GTO. They are made in the style of the original Ferrari tires, but they are made using a modern rubber compound.
