In 2020, Pininfarina will celebrate its 90th anniversary, and in commemoration of this event, the company introduced a new logo and detailed a series of events that it will visit and conduct.
Carrozzeria Pininfarina was founded by Battista Pinin Farina in 1930 in Turin, Italy. During its formation, the company created bodywork for companies such as Alfa Romeo, Hispano-Suiza, Fiat, Cadillac, Rolls-Royce, Lancia and other companies. The company’s plant was destroyed during the Second World War, which could be the end of history for her.
However, in the early 50s of the last century, the brand managed to establish a strong relationship with Ferrari. Atelier has been designing concepts and production cars for several decades, except for two 1973 Dino 308 GT4 and LaFerrari models. Now the Italian company belongs to the Indian giant Mahindra Group. Paninfarina was sold for about 168 million euros.
90 years after the founding, the designers decided to change their own logo. Now the inscription “Pininfarina” with the classic font is supplemented with the number “90” at the end of the badge.
Pininfarina special events will be held next year in Milan and Turin, as well as at the Geneva Motor Show and in China. In addition, in the USA, the studio will take an active part in the “Elegance Contest” at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. And finally, in December 2020, a special event will be held in Miami.
