Pininfarina spoke about the electric hypercarAugust 21, 2018
The Italian body studio Pininfarina published a video, which gives some details about the electrical hypercar PF0. The premiere of the car will take place on August 23 at the Elegance Competition at the American Pebble Beach.
The car will be shown to be closed – the full-size coupe model will be shown only to potential customers who show “significant interest” to it. Design novelties will perform in the stylistics of the most significant machines developed by Pininfarina, including Cisitalia 202 of 1947, the Ferrari 512S in 1970 and the Sintesi 2008 concept car.
Previously, Pininfarina published the first images of the interior PF0. The car will receive only two analog controllers, a digital instrument panel, and also two large displays on the sides to which the navigator’s data will be displayed, information on the operation of the car’s systems and other relevant information.
Pininfarina PF0 will be equipped with four electric motors, which in total will give out 2000 horsepower. Hypercar will be able to accelerate from its place to the first 100 km/h in less than two seconds, and its maximum speed will be 400 km per hour. The stock of batteries is enough to drive without recharging up to 500 kilometers.
It is assumed that Pininfarina, which now belongs to the Indian Mahindra Group, will produce only 150 of these cars. The sales of electric hypercar will start in 2020.
