Pininfarina showed the silhouette of a 800-horsepower electric supercarMarch 1, 2018
The Italian atelier and the Hong Kong firm HKG will develop a new supercar with a microturbine generator serving as a power reserve magnifier
The Italian body atelier Pininfarina has distributed a teaser of the concept electric super car HK GT, developed jointly with the Hong Kong company Hybrid Kinetic Group (HKG). The premiere of the prototype will take place on March 6 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Judging by the image, it will be a luxurious four-seater car with two large doors of the “gull wing” design. It is assumed that the novelty will use the same technology as the sedan HKG H600, which was shown in Geneva last year.
The structure of the power plant included two electric motors, which in total give out 800 horsepower, and a microturbine generator, which generates energy to replenish the stock of batteries. Such a car can accelerate from a place to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The power reserve is 1000 kilometers.
Hybrid Kinetic Group plans to launch a serial production of electric cars with microturbine generators in 2020. At the moment, the company’s development list also has an electric bus and a car with a motor capable of propane, bioethanol and natural gas.
