Pininfarina PF0: new photos of the electric hypercar with 2,000 hp appearedJuly 13, 2018
The network has published new photos of a four-motor hypercar from the famous Atelier Automobili Pininfarina. And the presentation can take place next month as part of the Monterey Car Week event.
Modern technology of electrifying cars allows you to create fantastic things. The power of a car of 1,000 horsepower is no longer surprising, and hypercars that can develop up to 2,000 hp are not surprising. The famous studio Automobili Pininfarina, owned by the Indian group Mahindra, is preparing for the debut of the new model of the super car PF0. It is assumed that the debut can take place in August at the event Monterey Car Week.
While there is very little information, but the atelier started a teaser campaign, publishing new images. Unfortunately, the new teasers do not provide an opportunity to present the car in detail, but a general idea can already be obtained. Ahead of the electric car will receive LED optics with a strip of DXO, crossing the entire hood. The aerodynamic body will be built taking into account the visual highlight of the wheel arches, and taking into account the minimum drag, as well as to create a powerful downforce.
To increase the power reserve and speed, engineers will try to make the car as light as possible. Therefore, all body elements will be made of composite materials. In addition, the cabin will also use lightweight and durable materials.
It is assumed that the car, built on the basis of the carbon-aluminum platform, will be equipped with four electric motors with a maximum output of up to 500 horsepower each. Overclocking to the first 100 km/h can take less than 2.0 seconds. And acceleration to 300 km / h will take about 12 seconds, and the maximum speed will be limited to a mark of 402 km/h. The power reserve in simple operation will be about 500 km.
Serial production is likely to begin in 2020, and will be timed to the 90th anniversary of Pininfarina. The cost of hypercar PF0 will be about two million euros.
