Pinifarina electric crossover will be presented in the summer
June 9, 2020After the coronavirus and related restrictions, automakers began massively launching new products on the market. The Italian brand Pininfarina, which announced the debut of its new Pura Vision crossover, was no exception.
The new head of the company, Per Swantesson, recently announced the company’s plans for the coming year. The luxury car maker plans to release a new Battista hypercar by the end of the year. In total, it is planned to collect about 150 copies of the model, worth 1.7 million pounds each.
In addition, in his interview, he said that the company plans this summer to introduce a new electric crossover Pura Vision. Deliveries of the model will begin in the second half of the year.
The serial version of Pininfarina Pura Vision will receive a glass roof and an electric motor, the output of which will be about 1000 hp. On a single charge, the model will be able to overcome about 500 km. From 0 to 100 km / h, the car can accelerate in 3 s, and the maximum speed will be limited to around 300 km / h.
Paolo Dellaha, chief product officer for the Italian company, said his team’s goal was to identify a new segment. He called the Pura Vision a luxury car (SLUV). The concept is not a hardcore SUV. Rather, it is a wide four-door model, characterized by a long hood, short overhangs, a steeply arched windshield, and a wide roof made entirely of glass. These lines form a vehicle that resembles a traditional Italian grand tourer.
