The British brand MG, which has been owned by the Chinese concern SAIC since 2006, has shared a photo of the new cross under the name Linghang. But, as on Tuesday, September 8, CarNewsChina informs, in reality the model may not be so new.

According to the agency, Linghang is built on the basis of the 4.5-meter MG HS cross, which debuted the year before last. The new model differs from the “donor” only by a new design of the front part with a revised radiator grille, a different bumper and different optics.

The interior architecture has not changed except for a slightly modernized central tunnel. But an expanded set of standard equipment will also be available for the novelty.

There is no information about the line of cross motors yet. MG HS for the Chinese market has two gasoline turbo engines of 1.5 and 2.0 liters with a capacity of 162 and 200 hp. respectively. The all-wheel drive system is offered exclusively in the most expensive configuration, the gearbox is a 6-speed manual transmission, and also a 6- or 7-speed robotic transmission

According to one version, Linghang will completely replace the current MG HS on the market, according to the other, two models will be sold in parallel.

In addition, it was recently noted that an updated Nissan Qashqai crossover was noticed during testing. It should be emphasized that the side profile of the novelty has undergone many changes, given that the side mirrors are no longer located at the base of the A-pillars.
