Pictures of the new BMW 2 Series Coupe appeared on the InternetApril 27, 2020
The network distributed photos, thanks to which you can familiarize yourself with the appearance of the new BMW 2-Series coupe. The photo captures the pre-production conceptual model 2-Series Coupe.
Unlike the new BMW 4-Series, which is likely to be equipped with a dimensional radiator grill with large “nostrils”, the design of the “two” is not so extravagant.
The “younger” coupe will acquire original optics and non-standard triangular air intakes in the bumpers. Judging by the body kit and the nameplate, the spies were able to capture the “charged” variation of the M240i, but the location of the M emblem in the front is striking: there are no analogues to this solution.
The rear is more and more traditional, however, a single trapezoidal tailpipe of the exhaust system is combined with a sports diffuser, while the rest of the compact models of the M-Performance family, as a rule, have pair-shaped circular mufflers. The taillights in configuration resemble the optics of the BMW 3-Series in the back of the 2005 E90.
Unlike the family of the same name 2-Series Gran Coupe, which is based on the front-wheel drive platform FAAR, the “two” in the coupe will be built on a standard rear-wheel drive architecture. The engine range will most likely include 1.5 and 2.0 liter modular motors, and the “hot” variation of the M240i xDrive and M2, as before, will be equipped with a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbo engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
More details about the “two” in the coupe will be available closer to the debut, which will be held at the end of this or next year. According to insiders, the novelty will not receive a modification in the back of a convertible.
