Pictures of the Audi Q5 coupe cross appeared on the network
September 8, 2020Chinese agency AutoHome has shared new spy photos of a pre-production Audi Q5 in the back of a cross-coupe.
This time the model was without camouflage. The new model is set to debut at the Beijing Auto Show, which opens its doors on September 26. In the PRC, the novelty, which will be based on the extended Q5 platform, will appear under the name Q5L Sportback.
Judging by the photo, the cross will differ from the European version both in the body type and wheelbase dimensions, and in the design of the front part. The concept in the pictures will get its head light in the style of the recently redesigned Audi A3, revised grille and original front bumper. The stern with a more sloping roofline received different lights and an integrated spoiler.
According to assumptions, in the Chinese market, the Audi Q5L Sportback will be offered in 40 TFSI and 45 TFSI variations with 190- and 252-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo engines. By default, the cross-coupe will get a 7-band robotic transmission and all-wheel drive. The novelty will compete with the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
In addition, it was recently reported that the extended Audi A7 Sportback liftback will become a sedan for the PRC. It should be emphasized that the novelty will be based on the Volkswagen Phideon model, which is presented only in the Chinese market.
