Pickup Tesla Cybertruck promised a particularly harsh versionApril 14, 2020
Tesla has already confirmed that it is preparing to enter the market “charged” versions of Model S and Model X, which will be called Plaid. It is expected that the line will start with the launch of Model S Plaid this year. But the head of the company has already noted that the third model is also in the development process.
According to Elon Musk in his traditional news channel – personal twitter, Plaid will receive a production version of the acclaimed Cybertruck pickup. And such a “charged” pickup will become the personal machine of the Tesla executive.
True, it is still unknown in which direction the company is going to “charge” its truck. In the case of, let’s say, there are almost no disagreements with Model S: especially sporty modifications of the sedan are already being tested at the Nurburgring and, according to rumors, demonstrate impressive results. But you can modify a pickup in many ways.
Tesla can follow the same path and build a purely asphalt version of the Cybertrack with a more powerful powerplant, reduced ground clearance, a different suspension and the ability to accelerate to 100 km / h in about 3 seconds. But another scenario seems equally probable – the creation of a competitor from Tesla Cybertruck, for example, the Ford F-150 Raptor, that is, a truck for extreme off-road driving.
What kind of script did Tesla prefer, we will probably find out no earlier than next year.
