Pickup Mazda BT-50 received two new versionsOctober 31, 2020
The all-new 2021 Mazda BT-50 has received two new body styles in Australia: the Single Cab chassis and the Freestyle cab chassis. These are real workhorses with economical fuel consumption.
Two new modifications will join the existing lineup of BT-50 versions available for Mazda starting from November 1st. Both options are available in 4 × 2 or 4 × 4 configurations. In the “base” they get 6-speed automatic transmission. As a motor, the manufacturer has prepared a four-cylinder three-liter turbodiesel that produces 188 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
If we compare the new modifications with the pickups of the previous generation, then the new items are 50 kilograms lighter. Due to this (“plus” the new engine), it was possible to increase fuel efficiency by almost 20%. So, according to the assurances of the developers, the fuel consumption in the combined cycle will be eight liters for every hundred run.
The new pickups can be recognized by their LED optics, 17-inch alloy wheels, and body-colored exterior mirrors with electric drive. Inside the car, we see black fabric upholstery, air conditioning, power windows and carpeting. The list of equipment for the new versions of the Mazda BT-50 includes adaptive cruise control, multimedia with a seven-inch color touchscreen, a rear view camera, etc.
In terms of safety, the new pickups are also not far behind. They got 8 “airbags”, collision warning systems and monitoring of blind spots, automatic high beams, etc.
In the Australian market, the single cab version is asking for a minimum of A $ 36,550. BT-50 Freestyle will cost $ 40,050 Australian dollars
