Ford Corp. intends to produce 4,500 Ranger pickups in a special modification of Thunder for the European market. This was announced on Monday, May 18, the company’s press center.

Cars from the limited edition are distinguished by the presence of a “gloomy” exterior with contrasting accents, a 2-row cab and an extended list of standard equipment.

All Ranger Thunder are based on the Ranger Wildtrak series. Sea Gray Gray pickup trucks with red accents on the radiator grill and safety arc have Thunder nameplates and a Ranger emblem in matt black. Inside, it is worth noting the presence of chairs upholstered in black leather with red stitching and embroidered Thunder emblems, illuminated door sills and black floor mats.

The pickup in the special version is equipped with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights and decorative body elements in the shade of Ebony Black. For an additional fee, a sliding cover of the loading platform and a divider are offered.

The limited pickup variant is equipped with a 213-horsepower EcoBlue 2.0-liter biturbo diesel. The motor is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the drive is offered full with a hard connection of the front axle.

In the UK market, the cost of the Ford Ranger Thunder starts at 32,965 pounds. Deliveries are scheduled for late summer. In 2019, an American company in Europe sold 52,500 Ranger pickups, of which 16,000 were purchased by the British.
