The Valley of Death National Park, which is located in the US, is not just a popular destination for tourists who choose to visit California. It was there that the test prototypes of the new Kia Soul crossover, and also the unfamiliar model were caught.

Unfortunately, so far there is little data on this mysterious crossover of the South Korean brand and the only thing that remains for us is to collect the available information in pieces. First of all, we want to note that next to this prototype there was a very strongly camouflaged copy of the new version of the subcompact crossover Kia Soul. Looking at the back of the Soul, the South Korean kid looks much larger than his current performance, although we suspect that this effect was obtained from the right angle of the image and the rather massive camouflage that closes the car from prying eyes.

Foreign journalists note that the new Hyundai crossover is very similar to the other crossover Kia Stonic, and yes, on closer examination we can see some common features.

We want to note that the unknown car also has a lot in common with the other crossover of the company – Hyundai Kona, which is in fact the closest relative of Stonic.

In one of the pictures one can see that the A- and C-pillars of the mysterious prototype got a little more square shape. According to rumors, this car can replace the Hyundai Accent in the US automotive market, where buyers continue to abandon sedans and small hatchbacks in favor of SUVs and crossovers. Hyundai Kona seems to be a more suitable model for this, but the car manufacturer needs to have a smaller crossover in stock too. The power of the novelty, most likely, will be similar to the modest performance of 4-cylinder Kona engines.

Finally we want to note that it is unlikely that the official presentation of a new crossover from South Korean Hyundai will take place before next year, in this case, the novelty will be positioned as a car of the 2020 model year.

Recently it became known that Hyundai is completing the testing of the modified liftback i30 N Line.
