Photospies caught new Acura MDX Type S 2020January 24, 2019
The crossover is already preparing for the presentation and will be presented during this year. In the meantime, the company conducts extensive road tests of sports modifications on prototypes under heavy camouflage.
Despite the fact that the engineers of the special division of Acura carefully camouflaged the novelty, the photospies still recognized the upcoming “charged” crossover of the MDX Type S in the prototype. Apparently, the promised novelty is already preparing for the debut.
The most powerful and “charged” crossover Acura MDX Type S will receive a completely new V6 turbo engine, the characteristics of which are kept secret. But early reports from company representatives tell us that the model will remain everyday, but there will be the possibility of track exploitation.
Judging by the photos, the car will receive a new aerodynamic body kit, a completely redesigned exhaust system, a slightly modified interior and a reconfigured suspension with low ground clearance. We also anticipate the emergence of a new transmission and body relief.
Unfortunately, the company is not in a hurry to disclose the date of the presentation, but it can be assumed that it will be held this year, but sales can only begin in 2020.
Meanwhile, Acura introduced the first sketch of the future supercar NSX. A hybrid supercar will get a 3.5-liter engine, three electric motors, as well as four-wheel drive.
