Photospшуы published photos of restyling Mercedes-Benz GLCApril 27, 2018
The German brand is actively testing the first-generation GLC crossover. Our foreign colleagues managed to “catch” the prototype of the restyling version, and they even managed to look into his salon. At the same time, Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S, presented last year, stormed the Nurburgring, so this news will be about two cars at once, and we’ll start with the fastest.
As reported by the portal Bridgetogantry, Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S actively attacked the legendary German track Nürburgring, and the car was almost no camouflage. According to foreign colleagues, the attempt to beat the Nürburgring’s time among the crossovers coincided with the planned preparation of the Mercedes-AMG for the Nurburgring 24-hour race, the race weekend will be held from 10 to 13 May. As for the crossover Mercedes-AMG, the driver behind it was squeezed out of the car literally all the “juices”, and in one of the turns even hooked the roadside.
Apparently, the company decided to still see what its “charged” crossover is really capable of, under the hood of which there is a biturbed eight-cylinder engine with a capacity of four liters with a payback of 510 horsepower. By the way, the boss of AMG Tobias Morse previously stated that the company is not at all interested in beating the Nürburgring records in the crossovers segment. Now this prestigious title belongs to Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio: an Italian car drove a circle on the road in 7 minutes and 51 seconds, but some competitors still did not say their word – Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and Lamborghini Urus.
The second news is that the photoshoots of the edition of Motorauthority managed to photograph not only the exterior, but also the interior of the restyling version of the Mercedes-Benz GLC. We can not publish photos of spyware protected by copyright, so you can click on the link to look at the prototype salon.
Judging by the photos, the novelty received slightly revised headlights and an updated radiator grille.
The salon of the restyling GLC almost completely repeats what we saw in the hydrogen version of the GLC F-Cell, presented last September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, as well as in the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class: a large screen of a central multimedia system, a digital instrument panel and renewed steering wheel.
It is expected that the updated GLC will be presented in the second half of 2019 as a model of 2020.
