Photos of the updated Genesis G70 sedan appearedApril 12, 2020
The network turned out to be a render for an updated version of the South Korean business class sedan. The exterior of the new 2021 model year received a lot of similarities with the older model – the G80 sedan.
The Genesis G70 is gearing up for a major upgrade for model year 2021. All available information on the luxury compact sedan is scarce. This is understandable, since the current situation in the world related to coronavirus requires some caution from automakers when it comes to launching new cars on the market.
But on the other hand, Genesis made the recent debut of the mid-size G80 sedan on the Internet – it was last month, and we expect the situation to happen again with the smaller G70.
Now, when we talk about the updated G80, we can imagine what the new version of the G70 would look like if the design of the latter were made based on the exterior of the G80? The authors of this visualization are the Korean AtchaCars design team.
With a wider grille and split headlights that first appeared on the Genesis GV80 crossover, the G70’s rendering looks sportier than that of the G80, thanks in large part to its larger lower grille with a huge air intake.
According to rumors, a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that will work with a six-speed manual gearbox will still be under the hood of the novelty. It is unclear, however, whether Genesis will use the new GV80 Twin-Turbo 3.5L engine instead of the current 3.3-liter turbocharged V6. The car can also be represented in the station wagon.
