Photos of the Ford Bronco SUV in a powerful version of the Raptor have appearedSeptember 9, 2020
The American company is testing a more off-road version of the Ford Bronco, which will traditionally receive the designation Raptor. Among other things, the car boasts increased ground clearance and wide wings.
A fantastic batch of new “spy” pictures allows you to take a first look at the testing of the prototype Ford Bronco Raptor. Rumors about the appearance of such a version of the SUV have been circulating for a long time.
Unfortunately, Ford engineers keep the look of this Bronco under heavy camouflage. If you look at the rear SUV, it seems that its wings protrude much further than the existing version of the model. In addition, camouflage makes it very difficult to consider the exterior of the novelty.
What is more obvious is that the ground clearance of this Bronco is slightly higher than that of the current Bronco.
BF Goodrich All-Terrain T / A tires are also fitted to this SUV. On the contrary, the standard Bronco gets Goodyear Wrangler tires, although without visible Wrangler markings.
Another notable change is the dual exhaust pipes to the left of the center of the car. It seems that there is no such layout on other versions of Bronco.
The picture of the rear of the car shows that this SUV has different details. The differential seems new, and there is a revised track bar layout. On the other hand, it seems that the shock absorbers have a much larger diameter.
The composition of the engine range for the Bronco Raptor still remains a mystery. Rumor has it that it can use a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 from Lincoln Aviator, which produces 400 horsepower (563 Newton meters).
The debut date of the Bronco Raptor is not yet known. According to rumors, the novelty will be offered to buyers as an SUV 2023 model year.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that this brochure says that the Jeep Wrangler is superior to the Ford Bronco in everything. Screenshots of a brochure have appeared on the Internet stating that the Jeep Wrangler SUV is superior to the new Ford Bronco in everything. Some of these comparisons in favor of a direct competitor to the Jeep Wrangler SUV are legitimate arguments for the sale, while others can be argued.
