Photos of a crossover-coupe Audi, which will challenge the BMW X4, appeared on the networkAugust 5, 2020
In China, during tests, they noticed a coupe-like crossover Audi Q5 Sportback with practically no camouflage. Photo distributed by Autohome agency.
While the sidewalls and roofline are unmasked, the front and rear are disguised as a Q3 Sportback. Despite the fact that the taillights are hidden by “tricks”, through them you can see the LED strip. The manufacturer did the same with the rear bumper, and the Audi nameplates, in turn, are glued.
The new model will join the “classic” variation, the presentation of which took place in June this year. The technical part is similar: they will get a mild hybrid version of the 40 TDI with a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing 204 hp. and a 12-volt starter-generator, as well as the MIB 3 infotainment complex with a 10.1-inch center screen.
The novelty should compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and BMW X4. The Q5 Sportback will debut this fall.
In addition, it was recently noted that Audi is working on a bi-directional charging project. According to the developers of the German company, the Audi e-tron battery will be able to provide energy for a single-family house for about a week.
