Photo spies photographed the budget crossover KiaOctober 18, 2019
Photos of a masked test sample were taken in India. According to assumptions, a new Kia SUV fell into the lens.
The Indian profile media published the first pictures of the mysterious prototype a few days ago, then they decided that the frames depict a cross-version of the next-generation Hyundaii20 hatchback. However, having received a new batch of photos, the Rushlane publication still concluded that the modest Kia crossover passes the tests. It is worth noting that this conclusion was made after the day before there was information about two premieres being developed for India – in 2020, the Seltos crossover there supposedly would be joined by a Carnival minivan and a subcompact SUV.
The car in the pictures is hidden in tight camouflage, you still can’t fully see the design. However, the Koreans were never limited to only re-hanging the icons on related models. This is the expected Kia SUV to showcase horizontal LED lights, while the Venue has a square shape.
But the novelty can share the motor line with its Hyundai counterpart: in India, the Venue is offered with a gasoline atmospheric four-cylinder Kappa 1.2 (83 hp) and a “turbo-engine” 1.0 T-GDI (120 hp), as well as a turbodiesel v1.4 CRDI (90 h.p.). The standard engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, the rest – with 6-speed manual.
According to expectations, the harbinger of a tiny SUV will be presented at the Indian AutoExpo Auto Show, which will open its doors in February 2020. The product option will appear to the world in mid-2020. The release of the Kia crossover is also likely to be established in India, at the same enterprise that collects the local Seltos. This country will become the main market for the new model, but later it can be exported. Venue in India costs from 650,000 rupees.
