At the Paris Motor Show, which opens on October 2, Peugeot will unveil the 508 SW wagon, the electric e-Legend concept car and the new Plug-in Hybrid power packs

The company Peugeot will show at the motor show in Paris a number of new cars. So, the public will be shown a new station wagon, which is built on the basis of the second-generation 508 sedan. The car received a prefix SW in the title and will compete with the Volkswagen Passat and the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer.

The wagon received the interior of the i-Cockpit second generation, which was previously used on crossovers 3008 and 5008. The driver is available a digital instrument panel and a 10-inch touchscreen display, and an upgraded multimedia system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The volume of the trunk of the 508 SW is 530 liters, and with the rear seats folded, this figure increases to 1780 liters.

In the engine range came a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a return of 180 and 225 hp (depending on the degree of boost). The unit works in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Also, customers will be offered diesel engines with a working volume of 1.5 and 2.0 liters. The power of such units is 130 hp, 160 hp and 180 hp.

Another premiere of the motor show will be the electric concept car e-Legend, which was developed in honor of the classic coupe 504, released in 1968. The length of the car was 4650 mm, width – 1930 mm, height – 1370 mm, and the wheelbase size is equal to 2690 millimeters. From the original Peugeot 504, the new concept car inherited a number of stylistic elements, including a rectangular grille, headlights with dual elements, and rear posts with a similar slope.

Peugeot e-Legend is powered by two electric units located on the front and rear axles of the car. In total, the engines develop 340 kW, which is equivalent to 462 horsepower (800 Nm of torque). The coupe can accelerate from place to 100 km/h in four seconds, and its maximum speed is 220 km per hour. Motors are powered by a set of batteries with a capacity of 100 kWh, which allow you to travel without recharging up to 600 kilometers (on the world cycle WLTP). You can recharge the battery in just 25 minutes.

Peugeot e-Legend received a fully automatic control system. When this mode is activated, the steering wheel is fully folded, opening up to the driver a huge 49-inch display.

In addition, new hybrid power plants called Hybrid and Hybrid4 will be presented in Paris, which are intended for Peugeot 3008, 508 and 508 SW models. The Hybrid hybrid power plant uses a 1.6-liter PureTech petrol engine. The power of the unit is 180 hp. The Hybrid4 includes a motor with a 200 hp output. The engine was improved by installing a starter-generator and special elements of the cooling system.

Thus, the total power of the models 508 and 508 SW is 225 hp. Power reserve on one electric traction – 50 km. Hybrid 3008 GT with four-wheel drive can go without recharging 60 km. The total power of the car is 300 hp. To the 100 km/h hybrid 3008 GT accelerates in 6.7 seconds.
