Peugeot Sport will replenish its lineup with a new rally car. This is a racing modification of the new hatchback 208, which will receive the prefix Rally 4 in the title. This car is called the successor to the Peugeot 208 R2. Under the hood of the 208 Rally 4 is a modified 1.2-liter PureTech gasoline engine that produces 208 horsepower. After the upgrade, he acquired a more efficient turbine and Magneti Marelli engine control unit. The developers chose the new SADEV gearbox for the transmission role.
Also, the new product relies on enhanced brakes, a sports suspension and a specific body kit. In the interior of the Peugeot 208 Rally 4 there was a place for a roll cage, sports seats with special seat belts and a sports steering wheel. New from Peugeot meets the technical requirements of the FIA Rally 4 class.
Pre-orders for a racing hatchback will only be accepted in the second quarter of 2020. In France, the cost of a car will be 66 thousand euros without taxes.
