Soon, the updated Opel Mokka X and Vivaro will receive an update of generations, as well as modifications with all-electric and power units. And by 2024, all models of the company will receive electrification.

The Peugeot Citroen Group (PSA) promises to completely change Opel by developing new technologies, updating the model line, unifying cars with the rest of the company’s models, and also thanks to the complete electrification of all models by 2024. The next generation Opel Mokka X and Vivaro will officially get electrified versions.

Along with a cargo van and a compact crossover, Opel will receive a fully electric version and a compact Corsa hatchback next year. There is very little information about the future electric car, most likely it will be built on a modified PSA e-CMP platform, which will also serve as the basis for the next generation Peugeot 208.

The e-CPM modular platform was built to use an electric motor in a base with a battery pack with a capacity of about 50 kW * hours. Estimated power reserve at full charge will be about 300-350 km. In addition, the platform can be used with plug-in hybrids, which will be demonstrated at the new Grandland X PHEV next year.

“The new Corsa will make electric cars affordable for many customers, it will be a real electric car for people,” said Opel CEO Michael Lohshlerler.

Meanwhile, Opel has supplied its Crossland X compact crossover with its new engine. The SUV engine line has been supplemented by a 1.5-liter diesel engine, paired with automatic transmission.
