Peugeot cars have received new hybrid versionsSeptember 24, 2018
Peugeot 3008, 508 and 508 SW have received new hybrid power plants called Hybrid and Hybrid4. Their installation on the model of the French brand will begin in the autumn of this year, the company’s press service reports.
The Hybrid hybrid power plant uses a 1.6-liter PureTech petrol engine. The power of the unit is 180 hp. The Hybrid4 includes a motor with a 200 hp output. The engine was improved by installing a starter-generator and special elements of the cooling system.
In the first case, the gasoline engine works in conjunction with an electric motor mounted on the front axle (110 hp). The Hybrid4, in turn, uses an inverter mounted on the rear axle of the car, an electric motor rated at 110 hp and a gearbox providing the use of the all-wheel drive mode.
The delivery of the battery is from 11.8 kW / h (HYBRID) to 13.2 kW / h (HYBRID4). Movement on electric traction is possible at speeds up to 135 km/h, at higher speeds an internal combustion engine is used.
Thus, the total power of models 508 and 508 SW will be 225 hp. The power reserve for one electric traction is 50 km. Hybrid 3008 GT with four-wheel drive can drive without recharging 60 km? The total power of the car is 300 hp. To the 100 km/h hybrid 3008 GT accelerates in 6.7 seconds.
Hybrid cars Peugeot can be recharged from a normal household network. Battery recharging will take about 7 hours.
