It is already known that the official presentation of the French novelty will be held in the framework of the upcoming showroom in Geneva (Switzerland), which in turn will take place in March next year. The 5-door hatchback boasts a rather large number of various kinds of updates.

A couple of hours ago, foreign profile publications kindly shared with us “spy” photos of the updated French hatchback Peugeot 208. After carefully studying these images, we concluded that it is possible that journalists were able to capture the high-performance version of the GTi.

Perhaps, one of the most beautiful European cars can rightfully be called the renewed mid-size Peugeot 508, which is currently offered in both the sedan and station wagon. It seems that some features of its appearance can be moved to a 5-door hatchback 208, which as it is known will be presented in March next year at the Geneva Motor Show. By the way the model will be available only in this body. The demand for a 3-door version of the hatchback is quite low.

Judging by the published photos, the subcompact French car though has received an updated appearance, but still it will retain familiar features.

Of course, because of the camouflage, we can not see the exterior of the car in all its details. It is reported that this test prototype of the novelty received a completely serial appearance.

We would like to separately note the double branches of the exhaust system and the roof spoiler – we can assume that we have nothing more than a high-performance version of the 208 GTi, and maybe this is the usual version of the model, but with the GT Line package. It is also seen that the car has slightly increased in size, especially with regard to the wheelbase. The new CMP platform will help to lose up to 100 kilograms of weight. It is known that the electric version of the car will also be presented – it will be built on the electrified version of this platform e-CMP.
