The French automaker is gradually removing the intrigue from the updates that went to the 2021 Peugeot 5008. The upgrade that has been carried out cannot be called radical, but the model has become more modern.

The automaker did not set itself the goal of reshaping the Peugeot 5008. The model has been slightly refreshed so that it can compete with its main rivals. The launch of a new generation of cars on the market will have to wait a couple of years. Outwardly, the “5008” resembles model 3008. During the renovation, the car’s radiator grille has changed – it is frameless with a new pattern. Also, the novelty got the original LED optics, as well as the DRL of a spectacular shape.

Peugeot 5008 in GT and GT Pack versions receive full LED headlights with extended light signature and cornering lights. New LED taillights flaunt aft. For the novelty, a rich palette of available colors has been prepared: from classic restrained (Pearl White, Platinum Gray, etc.) to bright ones with tempting names (Celebes Blue, Ultimate Red).

Changes continue in the interior. The salon receives a proprietary i-Cockpit layout: it is a modern multimedia with a 10-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch virtual dashboard.

Piano-style switches look no less organic in the SUV. They are responsible for a number of functions: air conditioning, radio, navigation, various kinds of car settings, etc.

The SUV of the new model year also got different trim options. This includes the red Nappa leather upholstery and Mistral Black Alcantara inserts. Not without advanced security systems and driver assistants. The brand will offer the Europeans four engines: a gasoline 3-cylinder 1.2 liter, a 4-cylinder 1.6 liter, as well as two diesel engines – one and a half liter and two liters. The novelty will reach European dealers this year.

Meanwhile, Peugeot presented the updated crossover 3008. The car received a fairly large-scale update, which includes new power plants, a refreshed design and an additional set of options.
