Peugeot 2008 became the most popular crossover in EuropeSeptember 25, 2020
At the same time, this car took only 7th place in the TOP-10. Europeans continue to prefer compact cars.
Experts of the analytical agency shared data on the most popular cars in the European car market in August this year. The German Volkswagen Golf of the new generation continues to hold the title of bestseller with a score of 22 386 units. Sales of this model decreased by 15%.
The second position is occupied by the compact Renault Clio – the European dealers of the brand were able to sell 16 399 cars, which corresponds to the level of the last year. The TOP-3 is supplemented by another representative of the French car industry – Peugeot 208 (15 382 units, + 18%). The fourth place is occupied by the new Opel / Vauxhall Corsa (15 261 units, + 7%), and the top five is closed by Skoda Octavia (15 122 units, -5%). The Dacia Sandero hatchback is on the sixth position with 13 896 people (-21.8%) choosing it.
The most popular crossover in Europe, Peugeot 2008, came in seventh with 13,452 units sold.
This model was marked by the best sales dynamics among the leaders – plus 34%. Another Renault Captur crossover was ninth (13,090 units, -3%). Top 10 are supplemented by Mercedes-Benz A-Class (12 872 units, + 5.5%) and Volkswagen Polo (12 377 units, -25.9%).
