Patent images of MG coupe published on the InternetJune 13, 2020
A month ago, MG announced the Cyberster concept, and today, June 13, patent images of the brand’s sports coupe with a damped grille and LED headlights appeared on the Internet.
Judging by the pictures, the new MG will receive a top-down roof, “muscular” rear wings, unusual wings and sporty side “skirts”. Unusual lights should appear at the back, reminiscent of the prototype E-Motion. In addition, a diffuser will be installed at the back, while there will be no exhaust system, which indicates that the car will acquire a fully electric motor.
It is noteworthy that the car on patents has little in common with the prototype Cyberster. However, it is possible that this prototype was designed to cause a stir around the upcoming coupe.
According to Autocar, the production of the new MG coupe may start next year. Other details about the new product will become known during the official debut of the prototype Cyberster, the date of which has not yet been announced.
In addition, Ford previously patented the Everglades trademark. The company will be able to use this name to designate cars, pickups, electric cars and SUVs.
