Patent images of a “charged” Ford F-150 Raptor 2021 appeared on the webDecember 4, 2020
The front of the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor high-performance pickup truck is shown in the blueprint. The document somehow made it onto the Web. It is reported that this is a real drawing depicting a powerful truck.
The new Ford F-150 Raptor goes on sale in 2021. This has been confirmed by Ford. We have already seen numerous camouflaged prototypes of the novelty that have been tested. Numerous camouflages hid almost all the details of the updated exterior, in particular, the false radiator grille.
This image was posted on a foreign forum. It is claimed to be a next-generation Raptor CAD drawing, and while we cannot verify the veracity of this claim, similar front-end details can be seen in a video of a prototype F-150 powered up.
This drawing does not show the radiator grille, but shows the front fender and hood, which have protruding holes for the Raptor-style air ducts. We have no reason to believe that the photograph and the CAD image are not genuine.
Ford did an admirable job of hiding the details of the new Raptor on its test cars. The new F-150 is definitely a conservative move in the design department, and it looks like the conservative trend will continue with the more powerful Raptor.
More interesting will be what is behind its false radiator grille. Ford now has a full-fledged competitor in the form of the powerful Ram TRX pickup. This car also features off-road suspension, and its supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 gives the Ram a huge power advantage over the current Raptor – 702 hp versus Ford’s 450.
It is possible that the “blue oval” will offer a new Raptor with a hybrid V6 setup or a supercharged version of the V8 from the Mustang Shelby GT500. We expect Ford to unveil the next generation F-150 Raptor early next year.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that they demonstrated the fastest electric crossover of Ford. Ford has unveiled the fastest and most productive Mustang Mach-E GT electric cross, called the Performance Edition.
