Pagani will release an electric supercarMarch 2, 2018
The head of Pagani Horatio Pagani confirmed the work on a fully electric supercar. The novelty, which will become the fourth model in the line of the brand, will not appear until 2025.
According to Pagani, with the tightening of environmental standards, it will be increasingly difficult to make V12 engines, which are appropriate for them. Such engines can be used until 2025, so a team of more than 20 engineers has already been assembled to work on the electric model.
The systems of autonomous management do not correspond to the values of the company, therefore they will not appear on the cars of the brand. “We are making toys that they buy to control them,” says Pagani, “something that is built to enjoy driving can not go on its own.”
Also Pagani is working on a third model, which will be the successor to the supercar Huayra. The car will receive the BMW-AMG V12 and an optional manual transmission.
The last work of the brand Pagani was a special version of Huayra called Lampo (lightning). The car, designed in the spirit of the concept car Fiat Turbina in 1954, was built for the former top manager of Fiat and the heir of the Italian concern Lapo Elkann.
