Ora R1 electric cars will increase power and rangeJuly 21, 2020
The Ora brand was created by Great Wall Motors back in 2018 specifically for the production of electric vehicles. The compact urban hatchback Ora R1 became the second model of the young brand.
Already this week, on July 24, an improved version of the Ora R1 electric car, whose name in English translates as “Black Cat”, will be presented at the Chengdu Auto Show in China.
This miniature sitikar, as before, has a cartoonish appearance, but its “output” data has changed. So, it is known that the manufacturer has increased the output of the electric motor to 45 kW instead of the previous 35 kW (61 hp versus 48).
In terms of design, of the innovations, we will single out only the new copper body color. In general, the electric car can be painted in one of the 12 available shades. Eight colors are provided for interior decoration.
The length of the electric car reaches 3 495 mm with a wheelbase of 2 475 mm. On the images of the novelty, which can be considered a leak, which have got to the network, there is no “R1” nameplate on the tailgate. Apparently, the brand is still going to rename the electric car in the “black cat”.
As for the battery of the new Ora R1, it will receive a top-end version with a capacity of 37 kWh. With such a battery, the range of an electric vehicle will grow to 405 kilometers. The current batteries guarantee a mileage of 310 – 351 km without recharging.
Ora R1 prices in Chinese car dealerships range from 69,800 to 79,800 yuan
