Opel introduced a cool van Zafira Life O-TeamMay 30, 2019
The presented concept van will not go into mass production. Opel Zafira Life O-Team is a one-time project. With this car, the brand’s engineers want to recall the unique 1983 GMC Vandura van that took part in the series Team “A”.
In the period from 1983 to 1987, the series “Team A” was released, the heroes of which rode a 1983 GMC Vandura van. This car received a distinctive two-tone appearance, and a red spoiler mounted on the roof.
German brand Opel decided to revive this car. The nature of this car, they decided to return to the concept of O-Team Zafira Life. Of course, the letter “O” in the name of the car means Opel.
Although the German vehicle does not have much in common with the original van in terms of its technical part, the external similarity is obvious. New from Opel received a two-tone body coloring and roof spoiler. However, the colors are very different – the black and gray body has disappeared, and in this place a white-dark-blue combo with neon green stripes appears.
The van received 20-inch BBS wheels and an upgraded air suspension. Braking power is provided by Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers and 11-inch front rotors. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter diesel engine manufactured by Opel, which is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is noteworthy that the guys from the company installed additional speakers so that the car makes a roaring sound of the engine.
Here is something interesting. While the original car had a massive 5.7-liter V8, it produced only 160 horsepower (339 Nm). Opel’s van boasts a smaller engine capacity, with an output of 174 hp (400 Nm).
