The new Griffin Edition adds some extras and cosmetic changes to the Vauxhall brand’s core lineup.
Vauxhall has introduced a new Griffin Edition specification for the Corsa, Astra and Grandland X, adding more equipment to popular vehicles. The Vauxhall Corsa Griffin features two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, contrasting black roof, front and rear parking sensors and automatic windshield wipers.
The cabin adds heated seats, heated steering wheel, branded Griffin floor mats and a rear-view camera. A seven-inch digital gauge cluster and Vauxhall infotainment system also come standard, offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Buyers can choose between one diesel and two gasoline engines. The cheapest option is a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine with 74 hp. It is only available with 5MKPP. Above is a turbocharged version of the same unit with 99bhp. Vauxhall offers a single 1.5-liter 4-cylinder diesel unit in the new Griffin Edition trim level. It is also equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
The Vauxhall Astra Griffin comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, black rear-view mirrors, black roof, parking sensors. The trim level can also be done in a station wagon style.
Inside, buyers get dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel and a seven-inch touchscreen. These same Griffin mats also feature some additional driver assistance technologies such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist.
There are only two engines available on the Astra: a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder diesel. The first generates 143 hp. paired with 6-speed manual transmission. The second motor produces 120 hp.
The Grandland X Griffin shares the same 18-inch alloy wheels as the Astra model. In the hatchback body, he received a contrasting black roof, black door mirrors caps. Silver roof rails are standard with a power tailgate.
Inside, the Grandland X Griffin Edition gets keyless access, dual-zone climate control and an eight-inch infotainment system with built-in satellite navigation. New Vauxhall floor mats embroidered with the Griffin logo are included again. The lineup opens with a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 128 hp. with 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
