One of three Porsche 911s dedicated to the brand’s Le Mans victories to be soldNovember 17, 2020
The Bring A Trailer website sells the Porsche 911T art car from RSR Rebel.
Founder of the aforementioned firm, John Gunderson, has designed just three of these cars, each wearing one of the iconic liveries of the Le Mans-winning Porsche concepts. The car for sale was made similar to the 600-horsepower Porsche 917 LH from 1970, which was called the Hippie because of the bright colors.
The new car differs from the standard 911T by the presence of different bumpers, an aluminum gas tank cap, 15-inch Braid rims, black bucket seats with purple accents and a ducktail-shaped rear spoiler. During the construction process, almost all body parts were removed from the Porsche and new, custom ones were installed.
The boxer “six” was equipped with electronic fuel injection and a Motec engine control system, as a result of which the unit’s performance reached 358 hp. In the cabin, in turn, there are purple tidy parts, the same shade of inserts on the seats, a leather-covered steering wheel with a green construction site and a wooden gearshift knob. The car’s odometer shows a mileage of 3000 km.
At the time of this writing, the cost of the car was $ 155,000, while there are still six days left until the end of the auction.
